About 250 attendees filled the Cheyenne Mountain Resort on Monday in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for the Route 66 Dealer Network’s 22nd year hosting its dealer partners.

Co-founder Rob Merrill said about 80% of the dealer network is in attendance. Many arrived early to get in some golf during the afternoon. Others assembled at the evening networking reception.

Merrill said dealer representatives will get updates on the network’s work over the past year to address key pain points. The network’s 10-member advisory board set the priorities last year.

“We work behind the scenes to create and build resources for our dealers and then we deliver them at this meeting,” he said. “This will be a kind of reveal for the dealers that are not on the advisory board to see what we have been working on for the last year.”

The work may include priorities identified at last year’s rally or long-term projects over multiple years.A picture of the Route 66 Rally signs at Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

“Route 66 leadership and our 10-member dealer advisory board analyze and measure the effectiveness of network initiatives,” Merrill said. “If something is not working up to expectations, our policy is to fail fast and make adjustments versus throwing resources at things that are not working.”

Tuesday’s agenda begins with an 8:30 a.m. general session with dealers and partners. The day will be capped by a dinner and entertainment event starting at 6:30 p.m.
