RVIA’s webinar on the California Air Resource Board (CARB) Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) regulation update is slated for 10 a.m. Eastern time Dec. 3.
In 2025, California enacted it ACT (regulation, which promotes zero-emission vehicles. The legislation will create a near-total “ban” on the state’s motorhome sales, along with those in other states that follow CARB regulations.
Webinar presenters comprise RVIA Director of State Affairs Mike Ochs and RVIA Vice President of Government Affairs Jason Rano.
On Nov. 19, RVIA Government Affairs staff and motorhome manufacturer members met with CARB members. Discussions involved RVIA remarks submitted as part of the ACT changes.
The board reviewed regulations affecting the motorhome industry, including the Omnibus Regulation on emissions rule, the ACT and the Advanced Clean Fleets rule. CARB said it has “the authority to create exemptions to the regulation.”
No resolution was reached during the meeting, but both parties agreed to meet again in early December.
