Lippert leaders gathered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to complete its third Built to Serve event. The supplier’s initiative began in October 2023 to encourage employees to give back to their local communities.
Lippert employees from northern Indiana and Ohio congregated at the Shephard’s House. The nonprofit provides long-term residential programs for homeless veterans struggling with alcoholism, chemical dependency or mental health issues. Participating veterans collaborate with staff to create personalized recovery plans.
Lippert Social Impact Strategist Michilah Grimes said, “At Lippert, we are deeply committed to supporting those who have served our country. Our Built to Serve events are an important part of our company culture, and we are proud to collaborate with organizations like Shepherd’s House, whose work is vital in providing a path to recovery for veterans in need.”
The team organized donations, assisted with maintenance projects and provided staff support.Shepherd’s House Director of Veteran Outreach Tracey Barr said the organization was grateful for Lippert’s support.
She said, “Their generosity not only impacts the physical environment here but also reminds our veterans that they are valued members of the community.”
