Cummins is rolling out three new RV generators this year that are 50-state emissions certified. The first to launch, the QG7000i DF, will be on display this week at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa.

The three-generator family includes the QG 4000i DF and the QG 2800i DF.

The generator range features a returnless electronic fuel injection (EFI) system to run on gasoline or LP. Returnless EFI systems remove the return line to the fuel tank.

Cummins said because the EFI systems do not have a carburetor, fuel varnishing issues have been virtually eliminated.

The generator trio includes clean sine wave inverter power output and 240-volt AC capability. The i DF generators use variable speed engines, permanent magnet alternators and tuned muffler systems with focalized vibration isolation mounts. The features minimize sound and vibration.

Karl Wilson, North America consumer sales director, said, “We look forward to continuing our legacy as a power leader in the RV industry with the next generation of Onan RV generators. As the industry has evolved, we have continued to listen to our customers’ needs and align our product offering to those needs.”

The generator trio includes J1939 communication protocol, compatible with RV multifunction displays. An onboard microprocessor features enhanced diagnostics and operation monitoring.

The new Onan generators will roll out in a staggered release over the next 12 months.

Cummins will begin accepting orders for the QG 7000i DF this summer. The QG 4000i DF and QG 2800i DF launch at year’s end.
