
The year’s biggest televised platform provided a spotlight for travel-focused advertising. Go RVing said the RV industry could use cultural moments such as the 2025 Super Bowl to highlight the benefits of RV travel.
According to an October 2024 survey from Statista, 18% of respondents said they tuned in to the Super Bowl to watch the commercials.
There were two travel-focused commercials—Booking.com and MSC Cruise, and two transportation-focused commercials—Jeep and Ram Trucks. The commercials highlighted themes of travel and outdoor adventure.
RV industry businesses can take advantage of the free publicity by applying trends to their business models. Some cultural trends include creating relatable content, emphasizing experiences, building community, being authentic and staying inclusive.
Incorporating cultural trends enables consumers to build trust and connections with the companies they choose to do business with. Trends also emphasize the joy RVing can bring to consumers’ lives and focus their attention on memorable moments travel provides. Consumers will likely do business with companies they feel a sense of belonging with and using current trends meets the consumer where they are.
