Back in June, The Mike Molino RV Learning Center launched a warranty administrator training course.
The Warranty Administrator Online Course has 11 modules. The course covers processing RV repair orders, handling warranty claims, maintaining customer and manufacturer/supplier relations, managing payments and checking in new units.
Heather Garris, Mountaineer RV & Outdoor Center, LLC warranty specialist and receptionist, completed the course in January. Garris has been working in warranty administration for about a year.
She said she was able to take her time going through the lessons and make sure she thoroughly understood the modules.
“I really enjoyed it because I like to learn new things about my field,” Garris said. “There were a lot of different things I learned that was not in my initial training.”
The course is an interactive experience, complete with audio voice-overs and progress checks, typically taking about five hours to complete. A quiz after each section ensures students retain the material.
A certificate of completion is available to those who pass the final exam. Experienced warranty administrators—those with over one year of experience in the field—may be eligible to apply for the Warranty Administrator Certification.
Garris said she previously searched for warranty training courses, but did not find many available. She said she recommends the Learning Center course because it helped her do her job better.
“It gave me more confidence moving forward,” Garris said. “Now I am working more with manufacturers, and I am doing more of the behind-the-scenes work. Before, I did not do that.”

The RV Learning Center Service Writer/Advisor online training course offers 9-modules on skills and duties for service writers/advisors and is a tool that helps prepare individuals for the certification exam.
