Coachmen RV released its new Brookstone 318RLL fifth wheel, a 42-foot RV with a unique rear deck.
The fifth wheel’s pontoon open-air deck features a marine-grade, L-shaped pontoon sofa, mini-fridge, a marine swivel table and dual motorhome-style scissor awnings.
Coachmen Fifth Wheels General Manager Greg Lebold conceived the floorplan in conjunction with his wife, Kendra, who is the director of sales at Lippert Marine. Greg Lebold said a conversation between the couple and his late father, Richard, reminded them to “stick together, and we will do special things.”
Greg Lebold said, “Our goal in designing the Brookstone 318RLL was all about pushing the limits of what an RV can do. Innovation is the only way we are going to grow our industry as a whole, not just a single division.”
He said he hoped to see more RVs like the 318RLL in the industry.
“If my dad could see it now,” Lebold said, “he’d probably just smile at what our teams have been able to accomplish.”
The 318RLL’s exterior includes a 20-foot electric awning with LED lights and an optional 11-foot second awning. The solid-step entry steps feature an extra-large top step. The RV has backup and sideview camera prep.
Inside, the 318RLL features a king-sized bed, Thomas Payne theater seats and solid-surface kitchen countertops. The appliance package includes a 16-cubic-foot stainless glass 12-volt refrigerator, a 30-inch GE Profile stainless steel microwave and a 24-inch, four-burner range.
