Dutchmen RV Unveils Yukon Residential Luxury Fifth Wheels

Dutchmen RV has added the new Yukon Luxury Residential Fifth Wheel to its 2020 product line. The company introduced Yukon to select dealers in the U.S. earlier this month. The unit is now in full production at Dutchmen’s Goshen, Indiana, facility.

“We discovered that the market was missing a true residential luxury fifth wheel and with Yukon we can fill that missing segment,” Dutchmen RV President Kyle Kwasny said. “During design and conception, our goal was to give the customer a completely re-imagined and unique residential luxury fifth wheel. In order to achieve this, we had to completely redefine the high-profile fifth wheel segment.”

Josh Staley, general manager of the company’s Yukon, Atlas and Voltage series said, “We printed off a generic fifth wheel floor plan render and divided it down into five separate zones that matter most to the customer which is the exterior, living, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. For each zone, we crafted a list of key features that we felt were important to residential living. Doing so, we realized storage and personal space were at the top of every list.”

2020 Yukon Features

The 2020 Yukon is a 100-inch, wide-body fifth wheel with 8-foot ceilings and seven-foot-tall slide-outs. The 2020 Yukon features a king bed with overhead lights and a bedroom entertainment center with fireplace. The kitchen features a pantry, large kitchen island, LG solid-surface countertops, residential four-burner cooktop stove with oven, and an 18-cubic-foot Samsung French-door refrigerator. The exterior boasts ample pass-through storage with a slide-out tray and 160 gallons of fresh water capacity.

“To accommodate our must-have designs, we needed to stretch the mid-deck,” Kwasny said. “By doing this, the Yukon produced the most open concept feel. We were also able to add in special touches such as dual bowls in the bathroom vanity, an oversized shower with glass doors and a separate stool room. Plus, we moved the washer/dryer area out of the bedroom and put it the bathroom giving room for a full-size dresser with hanging closet. The Yukon is simply unlike anything we’ve built before.”
