Morningstar Corp., a supplier of solar controllers and inverters, now supports Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) with its EMC-1 Converter. The webinar takes place on March 24 at 2 p.m. ET.
Attendees will learn how to enable Morningstar’s most popular products with SNMP allowing solar power system monitoring from the same software platform as a company’s network and IT equipment.
Select Morningstar Corp. products can be used with the Ethernet MeterBus Converter Accessory (EMC-1) to enable SNMP to:
• Diagnose system health with greater visibility into key operating parameters, including dynamic solar values.
• Monitor the status of specific proprietary Morningstar product alarm and fault codes.
• Identify problems requiring site maintenance or remote intervention, making maintenance easy and reducing or eliminating system downtime.
• Access IT and network management tools including data analytics, graphic displays, custom alert notifications, optimizing network efficiency and uptime (when used with preferred third-party Network Management System/NMS).
