Airstream has a new vice president of sales for the first time in more than a decade.
The RV manufacturer promoted Bryan Melton to the position after Justin Humphreys announced he was leaving after more than 13 years with Airstream.
Melton joined Airstream in 2015 and spent the past nine years as the general manager of the company’s travel trailers.
Airstream President and CEO Bob Wheeler said, “Bryan has had an impressive track record here at Airstream and we are excited to expand his strategic leadership and his passion for our products across the entire business. In addition, Bryan has been an Airstream owner since 2007 – he knows our products, he understands our customers, and he brings an incredible energy to the organization that will serve us well going forward.”
Humphreys announced his intention to leave internally this week.
“During his time at Airstream,” Wheeler said, “Justin has been an integral part of our success. After nearly 13 years with his sales leadership, we want to extend our gratitude for his contributions. We wish him success in all of his future endeavors.”
Melton will assume new responsibilities with the promotion. He will oversee all sales and distribution operations for the Travel Trailer and Touring Coach divisions, as well as the dealer network. Melton will report directly to Wheeler.
Under Melton’s leadership, the Travel Trailer division reached historically high sales, Airstream said. Before joining the manufacturer, Melton held senior sales management positions in the outdoor and cycling industries at Giant and Felt.
