Columbia Northwest Inc., dba Aliner, posted the company’s record market share in folded campers in August, according to Statistical Surveys Inc.
The company hopes its latest model, the Family Expedition, will continue to grow its market share.
“Our design team has truly thought of everything,” Aliner President Brett Randall said. “The nice thing, too, is that two couples or four adults could also really enjoy a trip together — the space is definitely available.”
Weighing less than 2,000 pounds, nearly every vehicle can tow this lightweight camper. Setup takes less than a minute, the company said. The Family Expedition will be offered in hard and soft dormers and has an interior height of more than 8 feet.
The RV includes 15 feet of living space, three beds and a U-shaped dinette that seats four. The dinette converts to a queen bed and the model includes a convertible couch bed and lofted twin bed.
The RV features a 5-gallon cassette toilet, air conditioning and an electric heat pump. A two-way van adds ventilation and storage under the sofa provides extra space.
The outdoor kitchen includes a convertible refrigerator/freezer, two-burner glass-covered stove and a kitchen extension to add countertop space. Dual propane tanks will be standard on all models.
“We are telling folks to order as soon as they can to ensure we have time to make your 2022 camper ready for next summer,” said Allan Reeping, company director of sales. “These are such a hot item, we currently only have 16 left in dealer stock, but we are making more as fast as we can.”
