Anthem RV Center owner Phil Olson sold his dealership to Camping World in June. With time to reflect, Olson said the New River, Arizona-based dealership sale was a process and his advisory team warned that every deal dies at least three times before it closes.
“That was absolutely the case in my situation,” Olson said.
Anthem RV was established in 2010. Olson, a 25-year RV veteran, targeted an 8-acre north of Black Canyon to establish the dealership because of its proximity to the greater Phoenix market and high-traffic accessibility.
With assistance from the RV Business Solutions advisory team, he was able to acquire additional property needed to complete the sale, he said.
“They helped advise and guide me in securing additional land behind my dealership as well as acquiring an additional 12 acres in another adjacent market, as that is what the buyer needed to close the deal,” Olson said. “They paved the way, I bought the land, and we finalized the deal.”
