The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) is partnering with RMS North America on a panel to be held at the association’s Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo.
The panel will discuss the 2021 Generational Camping Report. The reported examined major trends and topics in the modern camping world, in addition to providing actionable conclusions for campground and RV park owners.
The panel will be held from 8-9 a.m. Nov. 10 in Raleigh, N.C. David Basler, ARVC vice president of membership and marketing, will moderate the panel. Panelists include Adelle Rodriguez, RMS North America’s director of marketing; Cam Johnson, RVShare’s director of business development; and Jeff Sims, ARVC’s senior director of state relations and program advocacy.
“The most valuable information an outdoor hospitality business owner can possess is data on what campers want,” Basler said. “That’s what this new study is all about—looking at trends from different generations of campers. Attendees will walk away from this panel with information they can put to use as soon as they get home—information that will help them market their business, adjust to upcoming camper trends and even advocate for their park as an asset to the local community.”
Panel discussions will focus on the survey’s major findings, including which amenities today’s campers expect when booking a reservation, the future of peer-to-peer RV rental and how it will affect outdoor hospitality businesses, and campers’ communication preferences before and after a reservation is made. Panel attendees will leave equipped with information to prove economic impact to local authorities having jurisdiction, ARVC said.
Rodriguez, RMS’s director of marketing, said the company sponsored the study with ARVC to help RV industry members better understand the thoughts and sentiments of campers across all age groups.
“The data from this comprehensive study will be invaluable to campground and RV park owners as they look for new ways to cater to today’s camper,” Rodriguez said. “We are excited to share the findings from this study and hope panel attendees walk away from the session feeling empowered and equipped for next year’s busy season.”
Audience members will be given the last 15 minutes of the session to ask questions. Attendees can bring their questions to the panel or share them ahead of time with [email protected].
The report will be available after the convention. ARVC members will receive free access to the report beginning Dec. 1. Non-ARVC members can buy the report for $299.
