The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) will participate in the global movement Giving Tuesday on Dec. 1, encouraging donations to support the association’s initiative.

ARVC’s goal is to raise $12,000 by Dec. 31. The funds will assist the ARVC Foundation’s mission in providing scholarships for the annual Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE) and the National School of RV Park and Campground Management and Prospective Owners Workshops (POW), along with providing financial assistance to association member parks that are impacted by natural disasters.

“It has been a tough year for everyone, as we have all dealt with the Covid pandemic, natural disasters, park closures and so much more, but our industry has proven to be resilient, as always, in the face of these challenges and has pulled together to help each other through these tough times,” ARVC Foundation Executive Director Paula Horwitz stated. “We have such an amazing community that joins to support each other, and our Giving Tuesday campaign is a vital part of that effort. We truly value and need your donations to continue our work.”

Attendees during this year’s OHCE contributed more than $18,000 to the ARVC Foundation. The association is calling on the outdoor hospitality community to help raise an additional $12,000. All donations are fully tax deductible and help ensure the continued growth of the industry, ARVC stated. Donate here.

“The generosity within the outdoor hospitality industry is amazing,” ARVC Foundation Board Chair Cyndy Zbierski stated. “Your campgrounds, RV parks and supporting businesses give to many local, regional and national groups. You help first responders, local hospitals, schools, churches and more. The ARVC Foundation recognizes this generosity and appreciates the support we receive to ensure we can continue to help when called upon and to grow our own giving to this special community.”

Any size donation is welcome, ARVC stated, and can be made anonymously or in an individual or park’s name. Donors can specify whether their donation should go toward scholarships, the Disaster Relief Fund or the ARVC Foundation general fund.

“Giving Tuesday is a day of giving time, talents, treasure and thanks,” Horwitz stated. “We invite all whom support the mission of the ARVC Foundation to donate by visiting arvc.org/donate between now and Dec. 31, 2020. Your contribution to our Giving Tuesday initiative will be deeply appreciated.”
