ATC Breaks Ground on New RV Manufacturing Plant

ATC, an aluminum RV and trailer manufacturer, broke ground Tuesday on a 35-acre property on the east side of Nappanee, Indiana. ATC will use the lot to build a new headquarters and manufacturing plant.

The company will relocate its current headquarters to the new 221,000-square-foot facility when it is completed in early 2023.

The steel building will provide manufacturing and office space for ATC Trailers’ operations and feature a new 7,840-square-foot multi-use showroom and café. The new facility also will house RV and trailer shipping operations.

The expansion will create an estimated 150-200 jobs. With the extra room, the company will be able to increase production and gain space for RV units and parts inventory.

“Over the past 20 years in this community we have experienced tremendous growth,” said Robert Paden, ATC CEO. “Investing in this facility allows us to continue hiring more talent and expand our capabilities and capacity to supply customers nationwide with efficiently produced, high-quality RVs and trailers.”

Operations at the new facility will follow ATC’s newest manufacturing strategy: producing RVs and trailers with popular pre-set features based on historic customer data, ATC said.

ATC said this approach streamlined ATC’s manufacturing processes with dedicated production lines to assemble RVs and trailers at an accelerated rate with great precision.

Since the production shift in 2021, ATC warranty claims decreased 33%.

ATC’s current RV lines include the Game Changer and Game Changer PRO Series aluminum toy haulers.
