Baby Boomers Return to Market

Go RVing’s Monthly Trends Report divulged a shift in RV consumers. Baby boomers are making a comeback.

Go RVing concluded 55% of its website traffic consists of people 55 or older. The coalition calculated 34% of baby boomer travelers are planning an RV trip within the next year, based on recent travel interest surveys.

Kampground of America (KOA)’s “North American Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report” revealed 26% of consumers in 2023 were baby boomers. The report said the generation accounted for 22% of new campers.

KOA President and CEO Toby O’Rourke said baby boomer’s presence faded away throughout the pandemic. Now they are returning.
