Back to Camping Virtual Summit Begins Sunday Evening, Features RV Industry Leaders

Mountains and water at Grand Tetons National Park

RV industry leaders will join their partners in the campsite and RV park world during the virtual Back to Camping Summit this weekend. The 2020 Virtual Summit will occur May 11-12, 2020 at BTCamping.com, with an informal session on May 10.

The Back to Camping Summit has brought on 52 partners, 23 speakers and hundreds of park operators for the virtual event that kicks off on May 10 with an informal evening session. Created only 24 days ago, the virtual summit has grown to become an experience that brings the Outdoor Destination Industry together. Organizers are expecting nearly 500 attendees for the two-day, plus one evening, education and information experience.

“It is an honor to have so many state associations, industry partners, and professionals coming together for this unified purpose” said Mark Koep, event producer. “Everyone involved is aligned to help our industry get back into business with campgrounds, RV parks, glamping destinations, public agencies, private companies, and industry suppliers all working in unison to get back to camping.”

The first session begins at 6 p.m. CT Sunday evening and is accessible at the event website here.

“Our opening speaker comes from the park operator side of the business and will present a session on resiliency providing us all with practical tips to overcome this insanity,” Koep said. “Then bright and early Monday morning at 8 am central we kick off two days of amazing sessions and presenters including Toby O’Rourke as the keynote speaker.”

According to event organizers, “The key factor in this recovery relies upon the Outdoor Destination operators and their ability to adjust operations, marketing, and customer service to a changed world. Mr. Koep’s internal polling has shown that 60% of destinations are either struggling or in serious financial troubles. In addition, Koep’s external polling shows that the consumer has changed perceptions and needs for outdoor travel this year.”

Summit leaders have described the event’s mission to “Empower outdoor destination operators with information, strategies and action plans to allow them to get back to business and succeed following the COVID-19 crisis.”

The Back to Camping Summit is presented by CampgroundViews.com in association with RoverPass. The virtual trade show will take place on May 11-12 2020 at BTCamping.com. RV park, campground and glamping destination owners, operators, managers, staff, vendors, partners and related parties are invited to join the experience by registering at BTCamping.com.

Attendee registration fees start at $49.99. Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are also available.
