The second Baird RV Dealer Sentiment Index found dealers feeling better about future industry conditions than any point since July.
The survey, conducted by Baird in association with RVDA, found dealers scoring a 70 out of 100 on the sentiment index current conditions in February. The total is a six-point jump from the 64 registered in the inaugural January release, but down slightly from a 74 registered in December.
Looking longer term, the three- to five-year outlook also found dealers registering a 70, up from a 67 in January and the first time it reached 70 since July 2020, when it registered a 79. The index fell as low as 29 in April 2020 during the pandemic’s early stages.
