RV dealers are feeling positive about current industry conditions.
The third Baird RV Dealer Sentiment Index found dealers scoring the highest this year at 81 out of 100 in March, up from a 70 reported in the survey’s February conditions. Conducted by Baird in association with RVDA, the index highlights dealer sentiment on current and future industry states.
The survey’s inaugural January release registered a 64 based on current conditions, while a 74 was reported for December last year.
Looking ahead, dealers are feeling slightly less positive about the three-to-five-year outlook, down from February’s 70 score to 64 in March. The score is this year’s lowest, with January registering 67.
Future outlooks fell to record lows in April 2020 during the pandemic’s early stages, hitting 29 that month. The index found dealers feeling their best in July last year, when the score reached 79.
