RVi launched a new product today meant to make installation and use of breakaway systems easier for RVers. The new RVi Breakaway Wireless Adapter pairs with its RVibrake3 system, connecting the breakaway and alert system via WiFi.
According to the company, the wireless connection removes the need to plug in the breakaway into RVibrake3 for every trip.
“The first time you plug it in is the last,” RVi announced.
According to RVi, the new patented Breakaway Wireless Adapter for RVibrake3 is designed to eliminate the frustration of installing a breakaway system through a towed vehicle’s “crowded engine compartment.” The system will be able to push alerts about breakaways to a control panel tablet within the driver’s view.
The Breakaway Wireless Adapter features a wireless link and is installed at the towed battery 3-6 feet away from RVibrake3. Feedback of a catastrophic hitch failure resulting in a breakaway can be seen on the RVi Command Center tablet, which comes with RVibrake3 flat towing braking system.
The company announced an initial MSRP of $125. Click here for more information on the Breakaway Wireless Adapter.
