Brown & Brown Earns Two ‘Best’ Honors

Great Place To Work and Fortune Best Workplaces for Women have once again recognized Brown & Brown with accolades.

Great Place To Work certified the brokerage firm for a sixth straight year, while Fortune feted Brown & Brown for a fourth consecutive time.

Brown & Brown CEO and President J. Powell Brown said, “Our teammates are our most valuable resource and at the center of everything we do. Their hard work and commitment to doing what is best for our customers is the driving force behind our shared success, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together.”

Julie Turpin, Brown & Brown’s chief people officer, said the firm is thrilled to be recognized again.

“This distinction is a powerful affirmation of our commitment to building an environment where diversity is celebrated,” she said. “It demonstrates our ongoing efforts to ensure that all team members are supported in reaching their full potential across every aspect of their lives.”

According to Brown & Brown, 94% of its colleagues said the company is great to work for and 96% said new employees feel accepted.

Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place To Work, said, “This is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience.”

For the latest survey, Great Place To Work studied replies of almost 600,000 women who work for Great Place To Work Certified companies such as Brown & Brown.

Fortune Editor-in-Chief Alyson Shontell said, “Based on survey responses of so many women nationwide, these companies clearly demonstrate they have created workplaces where many feel valued, supported and encouraged to do their best work.”
