Brown & Brown appeared on Fortune magazine’s Best Workplaces for Millennials 2024 list.
Businesses were categorized by Great Place To Work’s data. The company collects data on workplace environments and certifies companies as “great places to work.”
Brown & Brown President Powell Brown said, “Our team is what makes our company special—they are our most valuable and important resource, and we are very proud to receive this recognition based on feedback directly from teammates.”
Great Place To Work gathered nearly 510,000 responses from millennials at eligible companies. To be considered, companies had to be Great Place To Work-certified and have at least 50 U.S. millennial employees. Brown & Brown was Great Place To Work-certified for the fifth consecutive year in October.
Honorees were selected based on their ability to provide positive outcomes for millennial employees regardless of job role, race, gender, sexual orientation, work status or other demographic identifier.
Brown & Brown Chief People Officer Julie Turpin said, “We value the diverse perspectives our teammates bring from their backgrounds, experiences and every stage of their careers.”
According to Great Place To Work CEO Michael C. Bush, every great workplace should provide credible leadership, meaningful work and a respectful/fair environment.
“Millennials are the largest generation in the workforce,” Bush said, “and their experience is a strong indicator of overall company health.”
Brown & Brown was also awarded the 2023-2024 Platinum Level Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health by Mental Health America for the second consecutive year.
