Campers Inn RV is opening three new dealerships in Collinsville, Illinois; Jacksonville, Florida; and Washington, Pennsylvania.
The Collinsville location is located off Interstate 255 on Highway 55 and is in operation. The store was the previous home of Gateway RV and Outdoors, which closed in 2020.
The Washington location will be new construction and a temporary sales center will be opened at the location in early July.
The company has moved its St. Augustine store to a larger facility in southern Jacksonville to better meet the needs of its customers.
“We are pleased to have been able to expand throughout our network as we continue to uphold our mission as the RVer’s trusted resource for our customers and campers in the area or traveling through,” said Jeff Hirsch, Campers Inn RV president and CEO. “We are steadily continuing to add more dealership locations across all U.S. regions and build a strong support network around our previously existing locations to continue to meet the demand of RVers as interest in this lifestyle continues to grow.”
Campers Inn COO Ben Hirsch said the company was tremendously excited about all three locations.
“The new location in Jacksonville solidifies us as the largest dealer in the area for sales, service and parts, and we believe this new location will benefit our customers greatly,” Ben Hirsch said. “In addition, the locations in Pennsylvania and Illinois will continue to allow us to serve our customers’ needs throughout the U.S.”
Since 2018, Camper’s Inn has acquired or built 19 locations. Campers Inn has 35 dealerships across 19 states. In April, the company announced its first expansion into the U.S. western region when it acquired three Little Dealer Little Prices dealerships in Arizona. Earlier this month, the company added another Midwest store with the recently announced Dave Arbogast RV Depot acquisition.
In conjunction with the latest openings, Campers Inn RV hired Greg Walker, formerly chief operations and finance officer at Vogt RV, based in Fort Worth, Texas. Walker will serve as Campers Inn’s market director for the Midwest stores.
Pete Brichant, Campers Inn sales director, was promoted to market director for the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions. Brichant worked in the RV and automotive industries for over 18 years. He has worked Campers Inn RV for seven years.
“We also look forward to expanding our teams in all three locations as we grow these stores,” Ben Hirsch said. “We offer a wide range of opportunities throughout our company and have some of the top talent in the industry training and coaching our team members to ensure success and satisfaction throughout all levels of the dealerships.”
Campers Inn RV was established in 1966. The family-operated dealership group owns 35 dealerships in 19 states.
