RRM-CLM Services, LLC (a combination of Recreation Resource Management and California Land Management) presented Care Camps with a first-time gift of $20,000.
Care Camps is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children fighting cancer to camp. RRM-CLM Services is one of the largest campground management companies in the world, managing more than 500 locations across the US at the federal, state, and local levels of public parks and recreation.
The donation is the beginning of an ongoing partnership, RRM-CLM Services owner Warren Meyer said.
“Our company is proud to begin this partnership with Care Camps with a gift that we hope will bring joy and hope to kids facing cancer in every community across the nation,” Meyer said. “All of us that love and respect the outdoors understand the intrinsic power that nature holds to bring healing and peace to our lives. Our team at RRM-CLM are excited to be a part of building the next generation of campers and nature lovers, ensuring that every child battling cancer gets the opportunity to experience healing outside of a hospital.”
RRM-CLM’s management team and employees have taken the initiative to find creative ways to support the cause, including starting local fundraisers at campgrounds. From a raffle for a custom quilt to hosting a “Walk for Love” with local dignitaries, the RRM-CLM team shared the message of hope and healing with their campers and gathering donations.

From day one of learning about Care Camps, they have been such enthusiastic supporters of this new partnership, raising both funds and awareness for Care Camps across the nation,” Care Camps’ Jennifer Mercer said. “As a charity founded by campground owners 37 years ago, camping businesses are still the core supporters of our kids, and we are thrilled to have more campgrounds joining the cause. I hope RRM-CLM’s example will inspire other campgrounds to come on board with a donation or partnership to ensure every child facing cancer in their community has the chance to experience the healing power of the outdoors at one of these special camps.”
RRM-CLM campground team members have raised several thousand dollars more in donations. The RRM-CLM marketing team jumped in to share the Care Camps mission with customers through email campaigns, social media posts, and website content.
