Camping World Holdings, Inc. revealed a new store location strategy focused on dealerships providing exclusive RV brands.

Camping World’s Morgan Hill, California, store will be the first location to undergo the change, transforming to a Jayco-exclusive dealership. The store’s new name will be Jayco Morgan Hill.

Prior to the announcement, Camping World’s Morgan Hill store offered new RVs from Alliance RV, Coachmen RV, Forest River, Jayco, Keystone RV, Prime Time and Thor Motor Coach.

Under the new strategy, Camping World will operate select individual dealerships dedicated exclusively a specific brand. The dealerships will provide staff training and present a tailored, brand-specific customer experience. Exclusive stores will be either converted, opened or acquired.

The format will complement and operate in parallel with existing Camping World stores, the company said.

Marcus Lemonis, Camping World chairman and CEO said: “We believe our growth can be accelerated by acquiring or opening dealerships that will ultimately be focused exclusively on the leading RV brands in America.”

According to Camping World Chief Operating Officer Matt Wagner, the strategy widens the company’s acquisition funnel to include dealers with smaller real estate and those located near established Camping World dealerships managing multiple competitive brands.

Camping World plans to open exclusively branded dealerships with various manufacturers in the following locations first:

  • Oklahoma City
  • Macon, Georgia
  • Northern Michigan
  • La Mirada, California
  • Redding, California
  • George, Utah
  • Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • Lakeville, Minnesota
  • Little Rock, Arkansas

Camping World Holdings, Camping World and Good Sam brands have been serving RV consumers since 1966. For more information, click here.
