Camping World Holdings announced that it is reviewing potential strategic alternatives for the dealer chain’s subsidiary Good Sam Enterprises.
Good Sam Enterprises is an RV consumer association provider in addition to a subscription-based RV product provider. Good Sam includes Camping World’s F&I sales products, such as roadside assistance, extended warrants and vehicle insurance.
Camping World said the strategic review could include a potential sale, spin off or other business disposition.
In Camping World’s third-quarter earnings call with financial analysts, Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis said Good Sam’s business exceeded $100 million in company contributions for the first time.
“We feel strongly,” he said, “that the Good Sam products and programs are both undervalued and underappreciated for its contribution and consistency to our company.”
No decision has been made on whether to proceed with any particular alternative. Camping World said the company has not set a deadline for the strategic alternatives review process.
