Camping World Holdings, Inc. has agreed to acquire the Lloyd Bridges Traveland RV dealerships in Chelsea, Michigan. The deal is anticipated to close in early 2022.
Marcus Lemonis, Camping World chairman and CEO, said the company is pursuing dealership acquisitions and is excited to expand in Michigan, citing its above-average RV demographics.
“We are honored to add an iconic family brand that has been providing exceptional customer service to RVers for over 55 years,” Lemonis said. “The Lloyd Bridges acquisition strengthens our footprint and allows us to more effectively service our RV and outdoor customer base.”
Lloyd Bridges Traveland has two locations in the greater Ann Arbor market, with access off I-94. The East facility is located at 12721 E Old US Hwy 12, while the West facility is located at 1603 S Main Street. Both will transition to the Camping World brand and are the eighth and ninth such Michigan locations, with more planned. The SuperCenters will include new and used RVs in addition to RV and outdoor products and accessories.
The news comes a day after Camping World Holdings announced its plan to issue a $300 million add-on to its senior secured term loan to fund the acquisition and development of RV dealerships and service centers.
The terms of the proposed incremental term loan will be disclosed upon the completion of the transaction, which is expected to be later this month.
