Roland Goreski was awarded the Walter Paseska Memorial Canadian RV Dealer of the Year Award at the RVDA of Canada’s annual meeting held at the 2022 RV Dealers Convention/Expo.
Goreski, of Campkin’s RV Centre in Whitby, Ontario, thanked his family, friends and numerous business associates who supported his career.
“This is truly an honor, I want to thank you all for this amazing recognition,” Goreski said.
RVDA of Canada invites nominations from across the country for the annual honor established in 1989 by Camping Canada Magazine. The award is dedicated to Walt Paseska’s memory in recognition for his many years of commitment and dedication to the RV industry.
The award is presented to a candidate who contributes to the community, demonstrates long-term dedication to the RV industry, participates in the RVDA and is recognized by customers and peers as a credible person with integrity.
Goreski’s RV industry experience began in the 1970s when he started working at his family’s Ontario dealership, Skyview Trailers. He served as director, treasurer and vice president on the Ontario RVDA (ORVDA) board and chaired the ORVDA education committee. He was also director on the RVDA of Canada board and chaired the national education committee.
His passion for education and life-long learning has been apparent in all the initiatives he has been involved in, RVDA of Canada said.
A committed local charity and community event supporter, today Goreski continues his dedication to Make‐a‐Wish, Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham, Brooklin Fair, Port Perry Fair, Durham Highland Games and Whitby Ribfest.
Chardell Brydon, Jason Friesen, and Murray Sullivan were also nominated.
