RV wholesale shipments into Canada increased 24.5% year-over-year in the third quarter. The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) reported 5,552 Canadian RV wholesale shipments in the quarter that ended Sept. 30, compared with 2023’s 4,459 third-quarter shipments.
Motorhomes accounted for 667 of 2024’s third-quarter shipments, while 4,885 were towables.
According to CRVA, year-to-date shipments have increased 15.1% to 22,860 shipments in 2024’s third quarter compared with 19,865 shipments in 2023’s third quarter.
RVDA of Canada reported 10,826 RVs sold in the third quarter, nearly doubling the shipment totals and removing 5,274 RVs from dealers’ inventory.
CRVA cited lower borrowing costs that made RV ownership more accessible. Canadian Fall RV shows contributed to sales.
CRVA said, “With continued consumer interest, favorable financing conditions and the positive momentum seen from Fall RV shows, the Canadian RV industry is well-positioned for further growth into 2025.”
The association anticipates steady fourth-quarter demand as dealers replenish inventory and prepare for 2025 shows.
