Mike Pearo, of Hilltop Camper and RV in Fridley, Minnesota, was named the 2022 RVDA chairman Nov. 10 at the annual RV Dealers Convention/Expo at Paris Las Vegas.

Pearo succeeds Chris Andro, general manager of Hemlock Hill RV Sales, in Southington, Connecticut, who will remain on the board as immediate past chairman. During his acceptance speech, Pearo encouraged members to meet the service needs of customers brought to the industry by COVID-19.

“Although we have made progress, we need to keep our foot on the gas and continue to work on improving our industry and customer experience,” Pearo said. “RVDA is the organization that unites all dealers, no matter the size, to ensure that we have the resources and the ability to work toward a common goal.”

The new slate of RVDA officers for 2022 includes First Vice Chairman Nathan Hart, of Walnut Ridge Family Trailer Sales in New Castle, Indiana; Second Vice Chairman Ryan Horsey, of Parkview RV Center in Smyrna, Delaware; Treasurer Bob Cox, of Stoltzfus RV in West Chester, Pennsylvania; and Secretary Jon Ferrando, of RV Retailer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

New members on the board of delegates are Brad Bacon, of PleasureLand RV Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and Jim Colton, of Colton RV in North Tonawanda, New York.

They join David Tenney, of Manteca Trailer & Motorhome in Manteca, California; Larry Troutt, III of Topper’s Camping Center in Waller, Texas; RV Assistance Corp. Chairman Jeff Hirsch of Campers Inn in Jacksonville, Florida; RV Rental Association Chairman Scott Krenek of Krenek RV Center in Coloma, Michigan; and RV Learning Center Chairman Jeff Pastore of Hartville RV Center in Hartville, Ohio. RVDA President Phil Ingrassia continues as a non-voting member of the board.

The RVDA Chairman’s Service Awards were announced during the convention. These awards are presented annually by the outgoing chairman of the board to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions of time and effort to the association over an extended period. Honorees were chosen by Andro.

Dealer recipients were Earl Stoltzfus, of Stoltzfus RV & Marine in West Chester, Pennsylvania; Hart and Pearo. Bill Koster of Protective Asset Protection was the industry recipient of the award.

The 2022 Convention/Expo is scheduled for Nov. 7-11, 2022, at Caesars Palace.
