Colorado Campervan is providing Type B manufacturers with a new motorhome feature. The OE supplier is selling a pop-top installation kit to OEMs.
The pop tops are available as unfinished base tops, enabling OEs to match the pop-top interior with the motorhome interior. The feature is geared towards small to medium manufacturers.
Colorado Campervan owner and founder Derek Webber said, “Our OEM tops represent a great way for the builder to differentiate their vans from the volumes of others on the market or at the dealership.”
The pop-top includes a 42-inch by 80-inch bed, with dimensions dependent on the motorhome. The tops are available for all wheelbases and roof heights on the Chevrolet Express, Ford E-series, GMC Savanah, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ram Promaster vehicles.
With a remote button or wall switch click, the top lifts fully, rather than at an angle. The product has a 200-pound lifting capacity. During transit, the collapsed pop-top has a 400-pound storage capacity. Consumers can store items including air conditioners, lighting systems, roof racks, solar panels, storage boxes and vents atop the tent.
The pop-top is available in standard white and can be finished with a truck liner and painted to match the vehicle.
The tent is built with marine vinyl under a seven-year warranty. Six windows surround the tent. Each window includes three layers: insulated vinyl, a clear window and a bug screen. All layers include zippers.
Six dimmable interior LED lights are controlled with a wall switch or remote.
