The Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis will release the fourth annual Outdoor Recreation Satellite Account report with a virtual presentation at 10 a.m. Nov. 9.
The report details the outdoor recreation industry’s impact on national- and state-level economies and how the industry continues to add jobs.
“Participation in outdoor recreation is currently undergoing its most significant expansion in decades,” said Jay Landers, RVIA vice president of government affairs. “More Americans than ever are taking to RVing and the outdoors, and its critical to note the significant contributions being made to the broader American economy.”
The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable is involved with the funding for the report. The ORR lobbied to help secure much of the funding for the annual report released in 2019, in conjunction with industry partners. The ORR will host a zoom call to release the 2020 government economic data with presentations from members of Congress, outdoor recreation industry leaders, government officials, Bureau of Economic Analysis experts and directors of outdoor recreation state offices.
