In 1995, Bernard and Max Ein co-founded American Door Co., which would later become ADCO Products. Then, American Door Co. was an OEM supplier of interior RV doors.
The Valencia-California company was thriving until 1970s’ oil embargoes, which devastated OEM suppliers. So, they shifted to aftermarket vehicle-protection products, including spare tire, air conditioner and tank covers. In 1982, the company launched its first line of mass-produced RV covers and renamed themselves ADCO Products. Before that, RV covers were custom made at upholstery stores.
Morgan Ein eventually took over the roles of the company’s founders, his grandfather and great grandfather, in 2013, and is the fourth generation to lead. Three years later, Ein spearheaded ADCO’s merger with Covercraft, who at the time made covers for most every vehicle except RVs.
