Towing supplier Curt has entered the dinghy towing market with a new non-binding tow bar, the Rambler, as well as a complete line of supporting products.
Curt’s engineering team applied its years of experience designing towing products to create its new dinghy towing product and accompanying line of highly researched products.
The Rambler steel tow bar flagships the new product line, featuring a patent-pending, non-binding design that allows for easy hookup and disconnect on varying grades. It also features an automatic locking mechanism, three stowing positions and slide-resistant arms for better control and handling. Rambler weighs less than 40 pounds, making it easier to carry than most steel models, the company said. It provides a towed vehicle capacity of 7,500 pounds.
Custom base plates are also joining the Curt dinghy towing product line. Each base plate is made vehicle-specific and integrates with the front end for an OE look and feel. An initial offering for the most popular towable vehicles will be launched first and will be followed by additional applications soon after. Curt base plates will feature the unique and highly corrosion-resistant co-cured finish used on Curt hitches.
A complete line of application-specific RV dinghy towing wiring harnesses and adjustable RV hitches are also available, providing a full dinghy towing solution.
