Curt Manufacturing, a Lippert Components, Inc. subsidiary and a trailer hitch supplier, launched its ActiveLink cargo management system. The ActiveLink hitch helps consumers use multiple accessories on a rear receiver hitch with the same receiver shank.
The cargo management system will feature accessories for everyday adventures, from cargo-carriers to bicycle carriers.
“The ActiveLink cargo management system prevents the need to get down underneath the rear of your vehicle to remove the hitch pin and shank every time you need to swap out an accessory, such as bicycle carrier for a cargo carrier,” said Eric Jevanord, Curt product manager of towing accessories. “Prior to ActiveLink, each and every time you needed a different accessory, it would require completely removing the shank from the receiver hitch, which can be a tedious and dirty task.”
The ActiveLink system employs a quick-connect shank. The shank is universal and enables various ActiveLink accessories to be quickly installed and used, making it simple and easy to change the hitch setup, Curt Manufacturing said.
“The ActiveLink system makes it easy to swap hitch accessories on-the-go. If you need a bicycle carrier for a family adventure, you can quickly install the bike carrier in just minutes,” Jevanord said. “Then, if the need arises to carry extra cargo on a road trip, simply remove the bicycle carrier and snap in the cargo carrier. It’s that easy — just click, load and go.”
The ActiveLink system is available to order on the Curt and Lippert websites and is also available to order through Curt vendors.
