Dealer Chain Converts Fourth Lazydays Store

Camping World has closed on the asset purchase of the former Lazydays dealership in Sturtevant, Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin dealership was originally Burlington RV and has been in operation since 1963. Lazydays bought the store in 2021.

Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis said the Sturtevant acquisition is a significant accomplishment.

“We have long been fans of the location’s original founder, Tim Wegge, and the Burlington RV brand prior to the Lazydays acquisition,” Lemonis said. “We know that Tim built strong processes with great people and look forward to resurrecting this location’s market dominance.”

Wegge was deeply involved in RVDA during his time as Burlington RV owner. He was RVDA chairman from 2017-18.

Camping World now has converted four Lazydays stores to its brand, including locations in Surprise, Arizona; Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and Vancouver, Washington.

In November 2024, the dealer chain said it would acquire seven former Lazydays locations. The other three stores that remain to be converted are located in Council Bluffs, Iowa; Elkhart, Indiana and Portland, Oregon. Camping World said it expects to close on them in the coming weeks.
