Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI) now supplies Custom Cut Van Insulation Kits for select Type B motorhome chassis.
The supplier’s kits are available for the Mercedes Sprinter 144-inch wheelbase and 170-inch wheelbase, the Ram ProMaster and the Ford Transit chassis.
The kits include the supplier’s D-Mat insulation material, which absorbs noises such as squeaks, rattles and other vibrations. The material maintains temperature in extreme conditions.
The D-Mat is available in 12-millimeter and 30-millimeter thicknesses. According to DEI, the substance meets safety standards and passed the Federal Motor Vehicles Safety Standard (FMVSS)-302 flammability test.
To ease installation, DEI designated installation numbers on each piece and provided a grid detailing where to install each piece. No adhesives or tools are required.
