DexKo Global (DexKo), a trailer running gear, chassis and component manufacturer, announced that its subsidiary AL-KO has acquired electronics specialist Nordelettronica, according to a Dec. 1 press release.
Dexter, an Elkhart, Indiana-based axle, door and venting product supplier, also is a DexKo subsidiary.
Nordelettronica is headquartered in Gaiarine, Italy, with two product development and production sites in Italy and Romania. The company’s focus is supplying electronic equipment in the RV sector, along with applications in industrial electronics, such as industrial cleaning.
The acquisition, which closed Nov. 30, will expand AL-KO’s product offerings in the RV electronic component area and provide access to new growth segments, DexKo stated.
“We are very pleased that Nordelettronica is now part of the DexKo family,” CEO Fred Bentley stated. “The company is characterized by its flexibility and providing electronics solutions targeted to its customers’ needs. Nordelettronica is an ideal fit with DexKo and will further improve our product range and service to customers.”
Battery chargers, low-voltage distribution modules, wire harnesses and control panels are included in the electronic company’s product portfolio.
“The acquisition of Nordelettronica enhances our product portfolio in the RV electronics,” AL-KO President and CEO Harald Hiller stated. “Together with CBE, we will build on many years of know-how and expertise to provide our combined customer base with reliable, high-performance products.”
CBE is an electronic solution manufacturer for leisure and commercial vehicles offered by AL-KO.
“It was important for the Nordelettronica shareholders to find strong partners in DexKo and AL-KO to support the continued growth of the business,” Nordelettronica Founder Luciano Rizzioli stated. “I would like to thank the management team for the energy and passion they have invested in building the Nordelettronica brand, and I am confident that our customers will benefit from the combination with DexKo.”
