Dometic acquired Treeline Capital LLC, an RV and marine aftermarket supplier. The deal is structured as a simultaneous signing and closing and is effective immediately.

Treeline Capital manages the Balmar and CDI Electronics brands. Balmar makes second alternators used in motorhomes to charge lithium batteries.

Dometic stated the deal strengthens Dometic’s offering and market presence within the North American market for marine aftermarket products and solutions, particularly in the fast-growing mobile power solution area.

Treeline Capital’s 2021 sales totaled over $16 million. Three-quarters of sales are in the aftermarket and service channel. Dometic characterized the company as reporting strong growth with a good operating margin.

Treeline has about 70 employees and is headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama.

“The addition of CDI Electronics and Balmar are highly complementary with the existing presence of Dometic in the mobile power solutions area,” Dometic stated, “while further increasing Dometic’s presence in the marine service and aftermarket industry.”

Through Balmar and CDI Electronics, Treeline Capital LLC offers engine ignition replacement parts, DC charging systems and battery monitoring systems for boats.

Treeline’s product offerings also include a proprietary engine diagnostic software. The software is licensed and used by more than 1,200 marine aftermarket dealers across North America.

The acquisition is fully financed via cash on hand. Dometic stated the acquisition price is “not material” in relation to the company’s market capitalization and was not disclosed.
