Dometic President and CEO Juan Vargues on Tuesday said market trends and the cross over between traditional RVs and passenger vehicles, such as SUVs, are driving innovative, flexible and energy-efficient end-user solutions.
“With our leadership in technology, strong market presence and broad product offering for Outdoor Vehicle Based Activities, we are in a unique position to take advantage of this fast growing market,” Vargues said before the company’s capital markets update presentation.
The company’s strategy, outlined in 2019, has generated significant growth and profit improvements, Dometic stated. Transforming to a less cyclical and more consumer-oriented company continues at a high pace, Dometic stated, pointing to acquisitions as an important part of the transformation. The company announced nine acquisitions in 2021, most addressing the outdoor market.
To drive its sustainability agenda, Dometic set targets for 2024 and beyond. Among the targets is a 2030 goal to reduce CO2 ton / net sales by 50%.
Dometic also stated it is optimistic about the long-term outdoor trends, the favorable consumer demand and the low retail inventory levels. In the short term Dometic stated global supply chain disturbances remain and are seeming to accelerate in some areas.
“It is difficult to predict when the situation will stabilize,” Dometic stated, “and until then it will continue to impact results.”
