Dragonfly Energy Holdings Corp. has partnered with the National Forest Foundation (NFF), the official nonprofit partner of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, to plant thousands of trees for Earth Day.

Dragonfly said it plans to exceed last year’s planting of 10,000 trees in its commitment to environmental sustainability. The company said it pledges to plant 10 trees for every battery sold during its annual Earth Day sale April 21-25.

Dragonfly Chief Marketing Officer Tyler Bourns said healthy forests are crucial for a greener future, just as the development and manufacturing of eco-friendly batteries are key to sustainable progress.

He said, “As we enter our second year of partnership for Earth Day, we remain dedicated to environmental stewardship and the pursuit of a more sustainable planet.”

NFF Reforestation Partnerships Coordinator Abby Schembra expressed gratitude to Dragonfly for its commitment to reforestation efforts.

She said, “As a project-focused nonprofit organization, we value our partners who are helping us to reach our goal to successfully plant 50 million trees by the end of 2025.”

The NFF has planted more than 33.5 million trees to date since 2018, and over 5 million in 2024. In Dragonfly’s backyard, the Sierra Nevada, the NFF planted 24,225 trees in 2024, which included planting in five national forests.

The NFF’s works to restore public lands and ensure forests can continue to sequester carbon dioxide (CO2), as the foundation said America’s forests are the most efficient natural systems for pulling CO2 from the atmosphere.
