Coast, an electric RV manufacturing startup, will take its first travel trailer on the road to highlight the RV and its features to consumers.

Among Coast’s supplier partners in its initial release is Truma. Truma’s Aventa air conditioning system will be standard equipment in the electric travel trailer.

Together Truma and Coast will travel from Nashville, Tennessee, to Wilmington, North Carolina, and back. The road trip will include stops in Asheville and Raleigh, North Carolina. Throughout the road trip, Truma and Coast will host consumer meetups to demonstrate the new RV.

Gerhard Hundsberger, president and CEO of Truma North America, said: “We look forward to opportunities such as this when we can showcase our systems in action, and to do so with a partner like Coast is even more exciting. This all-electric RV aligns with our commitment to sustainable travel and showcases our dedication to pushing the boundaries of innovation.”

Coast travel trailers are manufactured in Nashville by Aero Build. The company expects to make its first retail deliveries this year.

Aero Build and Coast founder and CEO Brian Fuente said: “When we started forming the blueprint for Coast, we were immediately drawn to Truma systems, and the Truma Aventa made perfect sense. Its sleek, low-profile design and smooth lines both inside and outside of the trailer were aesthetically pleasing while the specs met our desire to stay all-electric.”

Fuente said Aventa’s quiet output was another advantage to competitors. He said as he showed customers the Coast with the air conditioner running the customers did not notice the AC’s sound.

“It is quiet and cool,” he said, “all at once.”

The Coast is 21 feet long tip to tail and 8.5 feet wide. The Coast weighs 6,000 pounds and has a 14,000-pound GVWR.

Coast’s initial model sleeps up to four with a full/queen master bed measuring 49 inches wide by 81 inches long and a convertible dinette measuring 42 inches wide by 75 inches long.

The kitchen includes a ceramic cooktop with 24-inch range hood, a microwave and a refrigerator. The full bathroom has a Laveo dry flush toilet. The RV includes two 32-inch smart TVs and Starlink’s mobile WiFi service.

The Coast is powered by five solar panels totaling 1,360 watts of power. The solar system includes two 3,000-watt inverters, with the power feeding three 270-amp-hour lithium batteries for a total of 810 amp-hours of storage.

Hundsberger said the Coast redefines the meaning of comfort in an RV.

“Our Truma team is looking forward to seeing new faces and finding new friends as we embark on this remarkable road trip to North Carolina,” he said. “Together, Truma and Coast are ready to join the ultimate embodiment of comfort with innovation and the joy of exploration.”
