Ember RV introduced the new E-Series, a lightweight-laminated, price-conscious travel trailer at Elkhart Extravaganza.
The E-Series will initially feature four floorplans, two bunk house models and two couples’ coaches. Targeting couples and solo travelers, ranging from 26 feet to 32 feet. The E-Series rides on Goodyear Endurance tires and Dexter axles with E-lube hubs and forward self-adjusting brakes on a frame featuring an integrated rear 2-inch receiver that can hold up to 300 pounds.
Ember founder and CEO Ashley Bontrager: “We are extremely excited to introduce the E-Series. The new lineup of travel trailers was specifically built to target a broader market based on a more affordable price segment, but without forgoing the better quality and design intentionality that Ember has become known for. From the beginning of this project, we knew we wanted it to be focused on the ‘essentials’ necessary to go camping in an RV and enjoy time in the great outdoors, which is how it got its ‘E-Series’ name. All the ‘essentials’ are included — and a few key luxury items, too. This new line of lightweight travel trailers is perfect for those who are wanting a better RVing experience from a well-built Ember travel trailer, but with a smaller price tag.”
Using plywood, Azdel, dense block foam and aluminum-framing, E-Series is built on a laminated floor covered by Congoleum Diamodflor vinyl flooring for a carpetless, pet-friendly interior. The E-Series walls are built with an aluminum frame and Azdel and provide a best-in-class 82-inch interior height. E-Series also features a fully walkable roof covered with durable Tufflex PVC backed by a lifetime warranty. The fully enclosed underbelly features forced-air heating, radiant barrier insulation and thermostatically controlled 12-volt tank heaters on each tank, providing owners extended camping season opportunities.
The interior includes an 18,000 BTU Furrion Chill Cube variable-speed air conditioner and includes a remote control for easy operation. Each floorplan features a residential queen bed with strutted underbed storage and bedside cubies.
The kitchen features a 10-cubic-foot, 12-volt refrigerator, a stainless steel sink with pull-out sprayer, a convection microwave with air fryer, and a two burner cooktop. The interior has hardwood-framed cabinets with hidden hinges and soft-close hardwood drawers.
Ember Chief Operating Officer Chris Barth said: “We debuted this modular bunk system last year after reading through hundreds of consumer comments on a viral video. We challenged our engineering team to design a versatile and modular bunk system so owners could make it into almost anything they want – bunks, mobile office, extra storage shelving, pantry, or even an open locker to haul cargo – allowing reconfiguration of their RV setup for each trip or use. Many of our customers have done their own mods and customizations, utilizing the traditional bunk space in brand new ways. We are excited to bring this unique and Ember-exclusive feature into the E-Series.”
The first floorplan making its debut for the E-Series is the 22ETS including Ember’s modular, patent-pending EmberTrack repositionable bunk system. The 22ETS’ spacious kitchen includes a raised breakfast buffet with two barstools, a dedicated coffee hutch with extra storage cabinets, hidden storage behind the swivel-arm HDTV and Ember’s legless dinette with storage under the seats. The large bathroom features an LED-backlit medicine cabinet, porcelain foot-flush toilet, built-in nightlight, tankless water heater controls and a 30-inch by 36-inch shower with decorative surround and skylight.
