In 2021, RVDA of Canada created the George Goodrick Emerging Leader Award in honor of the association’s past chairman, George Goodrick, who died in 2021.
Goodrick touched the lives of many that surrounded him, RVDA Canada said, and his passion towards the betterment of the Canadian RV industry inspired many to volunteer and dedicate their time towards this endeavor.
With roots in Atlantic Canada, Goodrick first participated in association activities through the Atlantic RVDA. In 2008, he was appointed to the RVDA of Canada board as the representative of the Atlantic region. While serving as a director, Goodrick also chaired the national education and HR committee from 2010 to April 2014. His involvement at the national level later led him to serve as treasurer, vice chairman, chairman and past chairman of the RVDA of Canada. At the time of his death, he was serving as a director on the Canadian Camping and RV Council board.
