Snowbirds are not the only ones flocking to Florida this week, as the Florida RV Trade Association hosts the 2022 Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa during Jan. 19-23.
Many RV manufacturers, suppliers and dealers are taking their show on the road to display new products to attendees.
Tiffin Motorcoach and its luxury fifth wheel brand VanLeigh RV are planning to showcase two new vehicles at the show: the VanLeigh Ambition toy hauler, a first for the brand, and the Tiffin Allegro Bay Super C, also a first for Tiffin. The two vehicles were featured last week in RV News.
Other companies are still cautious on rolling out new product, attempting to keep up with demand despite global supply chain pressures.
Alliance RV will offer new floorplans for its Valor toy hauler, according to Steve Lidy, Alliance RV vice president of marketing. He said the company is bringing a short floorplan RV, similar to the company’s Paradigm fifth wheel, which will be geared toward RVers seeking to use state and national park campgrounds.
Alliance’s Avenue is largely debuting at the show with two floorplans. The Avenue is a mid-profile fifth wheel designed for easier towing.
Ember RV’s Chris Barth said all but one floorplan from the new company will be available for walkthroughs at Tampa.
“We will have everything from the micro series — the Rok and the Rol,” Barth said. “And all the Ember Overland series, so 17- and 19-footers, except for the 170MBH, which we are prototyping right now.”
Barth said the company will have a 191MDB floorplan unit at the show with the maximum solar package, on and running for the length of the show, but unplugged from any traditional power source.
Barth said the 170MRB floorplan of the Overland will debut in-person as well.
Thor Motor Coach is bringing a slew of RVs to Tampa this week, with over 75 motorhomes on display at its booths. The lineup includes all Thor’s Type B vans and three new products.
Thor will display its Type B Sequence and Tellaro 20J, which is a new floorplan increasing seating positions for a van rounding out the product’s overall offering. The Re(Li)able Lite power package is now standard on the Sequence and Tellaro. The bundle combines 200-amp-hour lithium batteries, a dedicated alternator and a 3,000-watt inverter to replace the traditional gas generator. The system enables campers to get off-grid while running the entire motorhome, including the rooftop air conditioner.
In addition, Thor Motor Coach will have the Venetian B42 and R40 on display. These luxury Type A diesel pushers have redesigned layouts, including refreshed bedrooms and bathroom ensuite. The floorplan provides extensive showers with a built-in seat, dual vanity spaces, increased counter space and a linen closet.
