Nine months of product refinement led to Aims Power’s new mid-June power solution release. The supplier acted on consumer feedback by implementing integral features in its 104-amp, 12-volt Lithium Battery.
Aims Vice President of Sales Laura de Jong said the company installed a battery wake-up feature and internal heating to enhance consumers’ flexibility.
When a battery management system is overly discharged, the device must be jump-started by another battery.
de Jong said, “We tried to find a more convenient way to wake up those batteries when that situation happens.”
With a button push, the wake-up feature will immediately jump-start the device.
The supplier addressed issues that arise in colder environments. Lithium batteries usually will not charge in frigid temperatures. Aims integrated an internal heating system to warm batteries and hold their charge.
de Jong said the feature will enable the battery to operate within a wider temperature range. All internal heating wiring is stored inside the system, resulting in less maintenance compared with external wiring.
In addition to battling cold weather challenges, the power solution’s splashproof trait provides further element protection. The battery includes Bluetooth monitoring and a state-of-charge display. Consumers can view the device’s state of charge, current, voltage, temperature and more via mobile app.
Aims will continue enhancing its lithium offerings. According to de Jong, the supplier plans to release 135-amp and 300-amp battery versions.
