Auto Motion Shade is introducing a new product to amplify its towable segment presence.
Auto Motion Shade co-owner and Managing Director Christian Knapp said, “In order to increase the Auto Motion Shade brand awareness in this segment we have to offer something new, something different and something special.”
The supplier’s “something special” is the SSM-350, a solar-powered motorized shade. With an internal lithium-ion battery, the product does not require vehicle power or a van battery.
According to Knapp, the battery lasts up to three months without recharging. The battery is charged through an included 1.3-watt, 5.5-volt solar panel. The shade will fully recharge in less than six hours.
The feature accommodates RVers who are off-grid or conserving vehicle power for appliances such as air conditioners.
“This, we think, is different and special in equal measure,” Knapp said, “and, in keeping with our ethos, affordable.”
Multiple shades can be installed and connected to a single-channel remote. Consumers can upgrade to a 15-channel remote. The product comes with a “click ease” mounting bracket, where the shade clicks in for installation.
Fabric options include a day shade or a night shade in black or grey vinyl. The product is available in numerous sizes up to 48 inches wide. The shade is currently available to order.
