Archery demands precision to ensure accuracy. An archer’s eyesight must be clear to send an arrow zipping through the air, sinking into its target. Any interference could sacrifice the archer’s prize.
Just as archers need a clear target sight, RV drivers must have full road vision, in front and behind them.
Brandmotion’s Wireless Transparent Trailer System provides drivers with cameras monitoring areas around their trailers without consuming extra space on the tow vehicle’s dash.
The system uses three components. A camera is placed on the truck’s third brake light, a camera sits on the trailer’s back and a rearview mirror is mounted atop the interior windshield.
The set-up provides vision around the vehicle. Drivers can see around the trailer by looking into their rearview mirror.
The rearview mirror looks just like the tow vehicle’s OEM mirror but with a button click, the mirror transitions to a monitor. Drivers can choose to view the 1,080-pixel footage provided by the camera placed on the truck’s third brake light. Another click switches to the camera placed at the RV’s rear, providing complete visibility to the road behind the towed vehicle.
The camera fits to pre-wired truck bezel mounts to ease installation. The system is accompanied by a two-year warranty.
The product originally launched to the truck market in November 2022. When drivers pulling horse trailers opened a door into the RV market, Brandmotion brought the product to the RV community in May 2023.
Although early feedback was slow, Brandmotion Head of Sales and Marketing Brandon Bahr said responses increased in the last month.
“It is good to have a couple in the store,” Bahr said, “just because it is a perfect upsell for dealers.”
Bahr said consumers often are seeking a monitor when they come across the Wireless Transparent Trailer System.
To help dealers and retailers sell the system, Brandmotion provides retail store product displays. Dealers with proof of purchase of a $3,000 Brandmotion stocking order through a distributor receive a free display. The Wireless Transparent Trailer System is available through all major distributors.
