Camco Mfg. recently released two new freshwater products to the RV aftermarket: a sediment pre-filter and an Evo X3 triple stage filter.
The TastePure RV Sediment Pre-Filter provides first-stage freshwater supply protection from dirt, silt and sand, the company said. The compact TastePure fits Camco brand and other brand standard inline water filters.
“Filters are incredibly popular at the campsite,” Camco Marketing Project Manager Noah Cronan said. “Folks can use this product to prevent clogs and filter out sand or particles greater than 20 microns before those particles reach the inline water filter.”
Camco added the Evo X3 Triple Stage RV Water Filter Kit to the company’s Evo water filter line. The kit uses three replaceable filter canisters. The first is a 5-micron sediment filter to remove larger particles and bad tastes, the second a 0.5-micron carbon block that protects against lead and other contaminants, and the third is a cartridge that helps remove viruses from an RVer’s water supply.
“The third cartridge is also what makes our filter different than other filters on the market,” Cronan said. “This is necessary in the market for consumers who want to ensure clean water, especially as the water quality is suffering in certain areas of the country where people are camping.”
The Evo X3 includes a built-in stand with rubber feet, a 4-foot freshwater hose and a canister wrench. Its powder-coated metal chassis provides a base between a water source and an RV’s freshwater connection. The Evo X3 can be mounted or staked.
