Debbie Brunoforte of Little Dealer Little Prices, a Campers Inn RV company, was awarded the David J. Humphreys RV Industry Unity Award on Monday.
The award, presented at the RV industry luncheon in Washington, D.C., is given to leaders in the RV industry who work tirelessly to grow and advance the RV community, RVIA said.
According to RVIA Chair Kevin McArt, Brunoforte personifies the spirit of the Unity Award through her work as the longtime president of Little Dealer, Little Prices and her volunteer service with many industry organizations.
“I cannot tell you how happy I was when I received the award notification,” Brunoforte said. “Because to me, industry unity is so very important, especially in the RV industry. You know we are really a very close-knit organization, and each segment of the organization is really dependent on the other. As a result, our entire industry is better when we are all working together. We all have a goal to improve the consumer experience and we are better able to do that when we are united and aligned.”
Brunoforte said though she did not know Humphreys well, she had the good fortune of meeting him at an industry dinner in Arizona several years ago.
Brunoforte is the RVDA industry relations committee chair and the RV/MH Board of Directors chair.
“I am passionate about that, and I have worked very hard at that,” Brunoforte said of her RVDA volunteer efforts. “When I was chairman of RVDA a number of years ago, one of my main goals was to work closely with RVIA and other segments of the industry. It was during a very difficult time… and we were able to work together and get some things accomplished.”
She said there are many high-integrity people in the RV industry worthy of being nominated for the Unity Award.
Brunoforte was recognized with RVDA’s James B. Summers Award in 2014.
“I am grateful to our amazing team,” Brunoforte said. “They make our company successful, which allows us the time and resources to give back and better the RV industry and to enrich the communities that our dealerships are a part of.”
Brunoforte said she will always champion independent RV dealers.
RVIA handed out two other awards Monday. Mike Becker, Forest River head of compliance, was awarded the Distinguished Achievement in RV Standards award at the luncheon. The award is presented to an individual who has contributed to the enhancement of RV standards in the industry.
Phil Ingrassia received the National Education Service Award. The award recognizes an individual who has been instrumental in the development of RV industry programs.
